Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an OurCart account, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use OurCart. We may update these Terms from time to time; we'll notify you in-app of any material changes and your continued use (or continued payment of a recurring subscription) afterward means you accept the update.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. You can sign in with email + password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google — the same Terms apply regardless of which method you choose.

3. Households & shared content

When you join or create a household, every member can see and edit the household's shopping lists, items, notes, and photos. The household owner can rename the space (limited to once every 30 days), invite or remove members (up to 6 total per household), and delete the household. Other members can leave at any time.

4. Subscriptions, billing & agreement

OurCart Premium subscriptions are sold by Apple via the App Store and processed through RevenueCat. Plans:

By tapping a subscribe button and confirming the purchase, you are agreeing to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, the disclosed price, the trial terms (if any), and the auto-renewal terms below. Subscriptions auto-renew at the disclosed price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancel anytime in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or from the in-app Settings → Manage subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple per the App Store terms.

5. Family plan

A single subscription covers up to 6 members of one household. The paying member can invite additional members with an invite code. If the paying member cancels, all members lose Premium access at the end of the current billing period.

6. User content

You own the lists, items, notes, and photos you create. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host and sync that content to your devices and the devices of your household members. You're responsible for the content you upload — don't upload anything illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.

7. Acceptable use

Don't try to break the service, spam other users, reverse-engineer the app, automate scraping, or use OurCart for anything illegal. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules with or without notice.

8. Third-party services

OurCart relies on Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, push notifications), Google (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Google Sign-In), and RevenueCat (subscription management & purchase analytics). Using OurCart means you also agree to their respective terms of service.

9. Disclaimers

OurCart is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee uninterrupted service or that the app is free from bugs or errors. Don't rely on OurCart for safety-critical situations or for coordinating medical or prescription purchases.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to OurCart is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. On termination, your subscription continues to bill via Apple until you cancel it.
